Environmental Site Assessments    <Back to Services Main     

Environmental problems, such as the presence of asbestos or leaking underground storage tanks (USTs) can be major factor in assessing the value of, and liabilities associates with, a property. Warren & Panzer conducts Pase I through IV Environmental Site Assessments to assist property owners or prospective buyers in assessing and remediating adverse environmental conditions. These assessments typically include:

PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT
• Site reconnaissance and public record review
• Interview with property management and regulatory agencies
• Database search for historic presence of hazardous materials stored at site
• Comprehensive report with recommendations for further action

PHASE II - SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION AND TESTING
• Installation of soil borings and laboratory analysis of soil samples
• Installation of monitoring wells
• Laboratory analysis of groundwater samples
• Detailed survey of hazardous materials present at the site
• Report summarizing results with recommendations for remediation

PHASE III - REMEDIAL DESIGN
• Pre-design investigation (pilot testing, additional delineation sampling, etc.)
• Development of contract documents (plans and specifications) for closure, upgrade or replacement
• Permitting

PHASE IV - REMEDIATION SERVICES
• Pre-construction conference with remediation contractor
• Material inspection and testing
• Shop drawing review
• Construction monitoring

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF REMEDIATION SYSTEM
• O&M oversight
• Periodic data reporting and communications with regulatory agencies
• Prepare site closure application when cleanup objective has been met
